The City of Kyoto and the Art Aquarium Castle Executive Committee will hold
"Art Aquarium Castle - Kyoto Goldfish Dance" from October 14 to December 7,
2020 at the former Rikyu Nijo Castle.
Art Aquarium is an aquatic art exhibition by art aquarium artist Hidetomo Kimura
that combines art, design, entertainment and aquariums.
In August this year, they opened the first permanent Art Aquarium Museum in Nihonbashi, Tokyo,
and "Art Aquarium Castle - Kyoto Goldfish Dance" is the only outdoor exhibition at the Art Aquarium.
Goldfish and carp swimming in the motif of Kyoto's traditions will express the 'World of Harmony'.
Lighting, music, projection mapping, and incense are added to the unique artistic beauty of the aquarium
and the clear water, creating a fantastic world view.
The venue is the inner court and kitchen garden of the Nijomaru Palace.
The event will be held from 17:00 to 22:00 (last admission at 21:30).
For the event, the venue and the staff are taking thorough measures
to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus.
Admission tickets will be sold on a date-specific basis
and will end when the number of tickets is sold out.
