The "Go To EAT" program, which supports the restaurant industry affected by the new coronavirus,
began to offer premium meal vouchers with a 25% premium on the purchase price
in Kyoto Prefecture on the 20th.
The program is available to restaurants that mainly serve food in the restaurant.
Stores that specialize in in-store food delivery and takeaway,
mobile sales and food court outlets are not eligible.
Meal vouchers are issued in each prefecture, with Kyoto selling 5,000 yen worth of vouchers
(three 1,000 yen vouchers and four 500 yen vouchers) at 4,000 yen per voucher.
A total of 1.6 million vouchers (valued at 8 billion yen) will be issued, with the number of vouchers
to be increased in stages from October 26 to 500,000 and then to 800,000 from December 14.
Reservations can be made through the Kyoto GoTo Eat Office website (HP),
and meal tickets can be purchased from two days later through the Famiport multimedia terminal at FamilyMart.
The maximum amount of meal vouchers that can be obtained at one time is 20,000 yen per person across the country.
In Kyoto, you can buy a maximum of five books at one time ^^!
You can even sign up for a return postcard!
The secretariat will perform the web processing on your behalf and return the postcard
with the number required for ticketing.
You are responsible for issuing and purchasing tickets on your own.
If you have difficulty in purchasing tickets, the secretariat will assist you on an individual basis.
Tuesday, October 20, 2020 - Wednesday, March 31, 2021
※Meal vouchers can be used at registered restaurants in Kyoto Prefecture only.
