We held an international exchange party at Shijo-Karasuma House!

Students from Kyoto Koka Women's University Junior College planned and managed the event together with us!

The students are taking English classes and were very nervous at first to speak English with foreigners for the first time.

Not only residents of Shijo-Karasuma House, but also people from other share houses such as Kita-Shirakawa House and Kyoto University West House, as well as people from outside the share houses were able to attend!

First, Mr. Fuji from Connect study, a study abroad agent, spoke about "studying abroad after Corona.

In some places overseas, people don't wear masks anymore, and it is becoming a life WITH CORONA. So studying abroad from Japan is so much easier now!

We then asked John-san, who has been living in Kitashirakawa House for a long time, to talk about "how he found a job in Japan.

John-san has been actively participating in university clubs to increase his interactions with Japanese people, and he also found a job through a friend's introduction.

After their talk, we played a game that all the students came up with!

First, we played the "Pictionary" game. Everyone was very nervous as the game was explained in both English and Japanese lol.

The students were asked to answer the picture in English or Japanese if they were studying Japanese.

It's easier to remember vocabulary when you study from pictures!

Then we played the "Yamanote Line Game". This was also explained to the students in English and Japanese.

The theme of the game was "English words starting with A" and the students said words related to the theme in rhythm.

No way, John, an American, lost, and it turned out to be a good punchline lol.

It seems he loves Japan so much that he has forgotten his English~ lol.

This event was for a brand called "MINASAN," which is a room search support service.
